Hello, my lovely Rising Soul Chronicles Friends!
Welcome to Part II of our exploration into the topic of FRIENDSHIP. Let’s dive into the heart of your thoughts and feelings on this subject.
ARE YOU READY?
DO YOU WANT TO BE READY?
This is your safe space—LET’S exchange ideas!
The previous post served as a prelude, a bit like an appetizer to whet your appetite. Think of it as a tantalizing cheesesteak eggroll from Sullivan’s in Raleigh, NC, or, if you’re in my hometown, a mouthwatering Chofan Nuevo Latino platter from Sabrosura in the Bronx, NY. Trust me, these dishes are divine! This isn’t a food blog, but I couldn’t resist sharing my favorites from both cities. Now that I’ve made you crave something delicious, let’s get back to our main topic.
In Part II of our FRIENDSHIP series, I wanted to understand how others perceive friendship. I asked four questions to a mix of men and women and have shared their insightful comments below:
Describe your thoughts on the epitome of true friendship in whatever capacity that may be.
"As long as they treat me with respect and are a shoulder to lean on."
"The ability to agree and disagree."
"Someone I can learn from who is mentally and financially stable and takes care of their physical appearance."
"A true friend is never envious, always has your back, is there during hard times, grows with you, and loves you like family."
"In a true friendship, there is respect, loyalty, and love. We’ve got each other’s backs and are always there for one another."
"True friendship honors and respects each other’s individuality, holding one another accountable to shared core values while embracing life's transitional stages. Even if friends grow apart, true friendships rekindle and feel like home—offering peace, love, and joy."
What qualities does an individual need to personify for you to call them a friend? Note: The Misa refers to a spiritual mass in Santeria that connects with ancestors, offering valuable insights into our personal growth.
"Effective communication, openness, candidness, and honesty."
"Someone who makes you feel good and motivates you to better yourself."
"Trustworthiness, acceptance, respect, dependability, love, support, individuality, honesty, empathy, and forgiveness."
"Similar interests and a genuine liking for the person."
"Friendships add to our lives through unapologetic acceptance without judgment or shaming. They reflect who we are and help us navigate our potential, as highlighted in spiritual practices like Santeria’s Misa."
How does friendship enhance your life?
"It provides different perspectives and opportunities to try new things."
"Sharing experiences and special moments with someone."
"Connecting spiritually, mentally, and emotionally during tough times."
"Offering companionship and a boost of happiness."
"Friends bring joy and happiness, often knowing me better than family. Without them, I might have faced severe hardships."
"Friendships represent growth and reflect our relationships with ourselves and others. They teach us communication, self-value, perseverance, and selfless support."
Is there a deal breaker in friendship for you?
"Lack of boundaries, which is crucial for emotional well-being and stability."
"Jealousy."
"Breach of trust."
"Disloyalty."
"Deal breakers include a lack of respect, envy, and jealousy that erode the foundation of the relationship. Dishonesty, weak communication, codependency, and possessiveness also contribute to the downfall of friendships."
IN CONCLUSION...
The feedback I received was both enlightening and intense. Each response resonated with me and offered a fresh perspective on what defines true friendship. This opportunity to connect on a deeper level has been incredibly valuable.
We often expect others to align with our own views on friendship, but how often do we genuinely listen to differing perspectives?
REMINDER: Love one another in accordance with DIVINE ALIGNMENT.
Stay tuned for PART III OF FRIENDSHIP—FINAL CHAPTER...OR NOT!!!
Love is YOU, Rising Soul Chronicles Friend!
